Hope that part 1 of the GA4 exploration have been useful. If you haven't read that, click here to zoom there!

Today, we will look at Funnel Exploration in the GA4 exploration report function. Funnel exploration allow you to identify the drop off of your user journey and better optimise your site to reduce drop off rate.

Step 1: Under Technique, select "Funnel Exploration"

Step 2: Scroll slightly further you will see "Steps", click on the edit icon beside it and it will bring up a pop-up for setting the funnel steps

Step 3: Click on Condition then Events and select the top funnel event. For example, session starts.

Step 4: Fill it up till it hit your final funnel step

Step 5: Check out the analysis. I usually look at which is the highest abandon rate. In this case, it is from view_item to Add_to_cart. I will look in ways to understand what might be the problem (Maybe it's bad UI)

Funnel Exploration is extremely useful in getting a glimpse of your user behaviour. Hope this is helpful! Wait for the next part for more use cases for GA4 Exploration Function!
