Let's go over a step-by-step guide to start your first Google Ads Account.
- Create an Account with Google Ads. Click here to start. Recommend to read this as well: Understand account structure here.
- Choose your campaign types. Google Ads offers a variety of campaign type, from Search to Display and even Youtube. Recommend to read this first: Understand campaign types here.
- Set your Budget: Set a daily budget, always recommend to start with a smaller budget first to test out and iron out things. Something to take note here: the daily budget may move up and down beyond your daily budget set. Example: you set a daily budget of $5, it might spend $7 on one day if it means more clicks and conversions, and spend only $3 the next day to level out your costs for the month. - Choose bidding strategy: Google Ads offers a variety of bidding strategies, such as manual bidding and automatic bidding. Choose the bidding strategy that's best for your business and budget. Recommend reading this first: Understand bidding strategies here.
- Choose the keywords(for search): Google will use this to show your ads when their users key in the keywords in Google search. There are lots to play around here. Recommend reading this first: Understand Keywords in Google Ads.
- Create your Ad Copies: This is the main wordings your users will see when your ads are shown. Recommend reading this first: Understand Ads copies structure.
- Launch, sit back and see your business grow!
